Silver Plated Smallsword

Here is an elegant representative of the smallsword at the height of its popularity. Gentlemen used this swift and deadly weapon to settle disputes of honor as well as display their sense of style. This particular example is mounted with a very sharp diamond sectioned blade. It was popular choice in the early development of the Smallsword for men of action, who preferred a stouter blade over the very light trifoil design that is seen on some of the period.

Adorned with scenes of classical figures in high relief, this is a fantastic small sword for collectors or a re-enactor looking for a truly authentic sword. The piece is taken from an original and then cast in bronze and plated with silver to replicate the original finish.
